Nestled in the pine forest of Šibenik's Dubrava, just a few kilometres from the city, lies this unique centre where you have the opportunity to experience various species of birds of prey up close: falcons, hawks, and owls. As the Falconry Centre's website states: "the centre offers an authentic encounter with fascinating sky hunters, the likes of which are rarely experienced in Europe," and they are truly right.

Emilio Menđušić, the centre's manager, is the person responsible for the founding and survival of this place, which is not just a tourist attraction but also a hospital for birds of prey that are returned to the wild after recovery. The centre also houses a laboratory, a DNA bank for birds of prey, and a feather bank where every shed feather is permanently stored.

The Falconry Centre combines education, a demonstration of the art of falconry—which is inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity—and a touch of adventure as you encounter these beautiful wild animals up close for the first time. This place truly offers more than just an attraction; it teaches you about the importance of birds of prey in the ecosystem while giving you the opportunity to participate in this noble mission of returning birds to the wild through your ticket purchase.
