The Dubrava Falconry Center is not a zoo or a bird park; visitors enter the working environment of an active falconer. Emilio Menđušić, the center's director and a recipient of a Ministry of Culture award, personally leads tours through the pine forest where owls, falcons, hawks, and other raptors are housed in open enclosures. The program includes a falconry hunting demonstration, the story of a tradition passed down through oral history and now protected by UNESCO, and insights into the biology of each species. The center also functions as a recovery station; injured birds from across the region are brought here for care, and those that recover are released back into the wild. Tour buses park at the edge of the village, and the remainder of the journey is a short walk through the forest.
