Šibenik does not have its own airport, but it is located between two international airports: Split Airport and Zadar Airport. Both are less than an hour's drive from the city center and are connected by the A1 motorway, making travel easy throughout the year.
Split Airport (SPU)
Split Airport is the second busiest airport in Croatia and offers a large number of international flights throughout the year, especially during the tourist season.
It is located about 55 kmfrom Šibenik, and the drive via the motorway takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on traffic.
It is connected to major European cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Vienna, Rome, and Brussels throughout the year, with the number of direct flights increasing significantly during the summer season. Both national and low-cost carriers operate at the airport, providing a wide range of travel options from across Europe.
For many travelers, Split is the most common choice for reaching Šibenik.
Zadar Airport (ZAD)
Zadar Airport is located about 60 km from Šibenik, and the drive via the motorway takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes.
It is particularly well-connected to cities in Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia, and Central Europe, especially during the summer season. Thanks to a large number of low-cost routes, it is often a practical and more affordable way to reach the region.
For guests from Northern and Western Europe, Zadar is often the simplest choice.
