The story began in 1966 with grandfather Ivan, who started hunting for truffles in the forests around Motovun. In 1994, his parents founded a company dedicated to hunting, purchasing, and selling fresh and frozen truffles, and today, the business is run by the third generation of the family.

The Šibenik branch was opened by a married couple – Ivana from Istria and Hrvoje from Dalmatia – who decided to combine the Istrian truffle tradition with Šibenik, the city where Hrvoje has his roots. To this day, the family continues to hunt for truffles with the help of about a dozen truffle-hunting dogs.
The shop offers a variety of truffle products, including spreads, sauces like tartufata, truffle-infused olive oil, cheeses, and Istrian liqueurs such as biska and medica. Along with Istrian products, the shop also features local Šibenik delicacies, primarily wine and olive oil. It is worth noting that they were the first in the world to produce gin and chocolate with truffles.

The Karlić family notes that they are among the pioneers of truffle hunting in Croatia and were the first in the world to produce gin and chocolate with truffles. Their products are available at their original location in Paladini and in Pula, and now in Šibenik, where visitors can taste the products and learn more about the tradition of truffle hunting.
