The winery’s name is inspired by three tangible proofs of the region's winemaking tradition. The first is a 2nd-century hypocaust, a heated Roman room used for ripening grapes. The second consists of 102 ancient amphorae used for transporting wine and olive oil, discovered on the seabed near Šibenik. The third is the Machina Nova, a grape press invented in the 16th century by Faust Vrančić, a native of the Šibenik area. Three objects, three different centuries, one shared craft.
The vineyards are located near Šibenik, on soil that gives the wine a more intense color and a fuller body. The location in Jadrtovac also offers a unique visual experience: the tasting room opens up to the sea and the islands of the Šibenik archipelago. Juraj is a renowned expert on Dalmatian wines, with an approach that blends innovative technology with the distinct characteristics of indigenous grape varieties.
