The vineyards are situated on limestone soil at an altitude of 270 meters. This elevation provides about 2,000 hours of sunshine during the growing season, balanced by cooler nights during the ripening phase, which slows maturation and enhances the development of aromatic compounds. Our white wines are known for being creamy and mineral with a crisp freshness, featuring notes of Dalmatian wild herbs and citrus. Our red wines offer a unique take on the typical Dalmatian profile: they are soft and approachable, with vibrant acidity and aromas of green pepper and Marasca cherry, rather than the heavy tannins often found in coastal wines.
Maraština is our primary focus. It can be crafted as a fresh, drinkable young wine, a structured white with aging potential, or a fortified dessert wine. The varietal herbal notes, reminiscent of the medicinal herbs and grasses of Dalmatia, remain a hallmark across all three styles. In addition to Maraština, our range includes Debit, Plavina, Lasin, and a Plavina Rosé. Lasin, often called the Pinot Noir of Dalmatia, produces fuller-bodied wines with distinct aromas of Marasca cherry.
A visit to our winery includes a tasting paired with local cheese and olive oil, as well as a tour of the cellar and our family shop. Excursions to the vineyard are also available. From the vantage point above Plastovo, you can enjoy a view of Visovac, a small island featuring a Franciscan monastery on the Krka River.
