It has been designed to preserve the natural harmony of the protected area and is suitable for family walks, organized groups, recreational running, and cycling. Part of the trail passes through pine and oak forests, while another section is built on wooden boardwalks over the sea.
Along the route, there are several viewpoints offering panoramic views of the city and the archipelago, the Cave of St. Anthony with its underground chapel, and the remains of military structures from the period when the area was under military control, including a tunnel known as "Hitler's Eyes." The promenade ends at St. Nicholas Fortress, a 16th-century fortification monument included on the UNESCO World Heritage list. In Minerska Bay, right next to the promenade, is the St. Anthony's Channel Visitor Center, dedicated to the biodiversity and natural values of the protected area. The trail is illuminated at night by solar-powered lights.
