Promina is a mountain approximately ten kilometers long, with its highest peak, Čavnovka, reaching 1,147 meters above sea level. Located above Drniš, between the Miljevci Plateau, the canyons of the Krka and Čikola rivers, and Petrovo Polje, it stands as one of the most recognizable natural landmarks in the Šibenik-Knin hinterland.

The mountain is rich in pine forests, freshwater springs, stone fences, attractive dry-stone walls, fossil remains, and other geomorphological features. On its slopes, you can explore hidden trails, the Liluša cave, and fossil sites, while the viewpoints offer vistas of Petrovo Polje, the Krka and Čikola canyons, the Dinara and Velebit mountains, as well as the Šibenik archipelago and the Kornati islands.
Promina is crisscrossed with marked hiking trails and paths suitable for hiking, trekking, trail running, and walking. A mountain hut is located at an altitude of 855 meters, and both the summit and the hut can be reached via various marked trails starting from Drniš and the surrounding villages.

Beyond its natural value, Promina also preserves layers of a long history. Its name is linked to the ancient Promona, and its mineral wealth, fossils, and geological features have attracted the attention of scientists since the Austro-Hungarian era.
Mount Promina is ideal for an active holiday, family walks, and nature excursions. It is particularly impressive at sunrise and sunset, when its viewpoints offer a wide-reaching look at a landscape that connects mountains, rivers, fields, and the sea.
