The bay is unique for its warmer sea and the Makirina cove, which features medicinal mud used for therapeutic purposes. Off the coast lies the uninhabited islet of Sustipan, home to the ruins of a medieval monastery, while the Lolić and Starine beaches grace the shoreline. The hinterland is crisscrossed with hiking and cycling trails that connect to Vransko Lake Nature Park.
