The Faust Vrančić Memorial Centre was established to preserve and interpret the legacy of Faust Vrančić, a Croatian polymath born in Šibenik in 1551, whose work spanned engineering, linguistics, and technical design.

The centre is located in Prvić Luka, on an island deeply connected to his childhood and family history. The space features models and replicas of his inventions, including bridge designs, machines, and various technical devices, alongside interpretations of his most famous ideas.

A special section of the exhibition is dedicated to the work Machinae novae, which displays technical drawings and innovations that testify to his contribution to the development of early modern engineering thought.

Today, the Memorial Centre serves as a museum and interpretation space that bridges scientific heritage with the local identity of the island of Prvić, offering visitors insight into the historical context, technical innovations, and cultural significance of Faust Vrančić.
