The Our Lady of Loreto statue, including its pedestal, stands 17 meters tall, which corresponds to one-tenth of the height of Gaj Hill. It is made of concrete, and its outer surface is decorated with a mosaic of gold, silver, and colored glass. The architectural design of the statue is the work of Aron Varga, while the mosaic was created by a team of experts led by mosaic artist Milun Garčević.

The monument is dedicated to Our Lady of Loreto, the patron saint of Primošten, and its story is deeply rooted in local faith and tradition. According to legend, in 1835, a Primošten local named Marko Prgin dreamed of an image of Our Lady of Loreto, traveled to Loreto, Italy, and found the exact depiction from his dream. After the image was brought to Primošten, a procession was organized during a cholera epidemic, and the residents have honored Our Lady as their patron saint ever since.

The Our Lady of Loreto viewpoint is included in international pilgrimage routes of Marian shrines associated with the Cammini Lauretani project. Beyond its religious significance, the location is also a major attraction due to its panoramic view of Primošten, its iconic peninsula with the small church, and the numerous islands of the Primošten and Šibenik archipelago.

The viewpoint offers a particularly impressive atmosphere in the evening hours, when the sunset bathes the landscape in warm colors. A visit to the Our Lady of Loreto statue thus becomes a blend of cultural experience, spiritual heritage, and enjoyment of the unique Primošten panorama.
