The Dalmatian Ethno Village was built on the foundations of an actual Dalmatian hamlet that once stood on this peninsula. Today, its stone cottages and courtyards paved with irregular stones house functional crafts: a mill grinds corn and wheat from our own fields, a loom is used to demonstrate the weaving of Dalmatian motifs, and the bread oven fills the air every day with the scent of bread baked under the peka. Visitors can try their hand at some of the crafts and take home a souvenir they made themselves. The taverns within the village serve Dalmatian specialties such as roasts, cheese, homemade sausages, and local wines. Archaeological research at Pokrovnik and Danilo, sites near Šibenik, has shown that this region has one of the oldest traditions of milk processing in all of Europe, a story the ethno village is proud to share.
