The town is situated directly across from the island of Krapanj, the lowest inhabited island in the Adriatic, famous for its sponge-diving tradition and connected by a regular boat line. The southern part of the town features Morinje Bay, a nature reserve with deposits of medicinal mud. Local infrastructure includes the modern Rezalište beach with numerous sports facilities and a dining scene focused on maritime gastronomy.
