Located in the heart of Vodice at Ul. Obale Matice Hrvatske 123, Aquarium Vodice is a unique destination that bridges Adriatic biology and rich maritime history. Through several thematic sections, this multi-purpose space provides visitors with a deep insight into the inseparable bond between humanity and the sea.
The main attraction is the state-of-the-art aquarium tanks, home to over 150 species of fish and crustaceans. Here, visitors can observe the flora and fauna of the Šibenik and Kornati waters up close. Each tank is carefully designed to faithfully replicate the natural habitat of Adriatic organisms.
The museum section houses an impressive collection of precious hydro-archaeological finds dating from antiquity to the Middle Ages. Alongside ancient amphorae salvaged from sunken merchant ships, the exhibit includes a department dedicated to the history of the diving trade and vintage heavy-duty equipment.
The museum proudly displays high-quality, detailed models of traditional Croatian ships, which represent thousands of hours of meticulous craftsmanship. The complex offering is rounded out by a malacological shell collection and occasional guest exhibitions of snakes, making Aquarium Vodice an ideal destination for family education.
