Located in the heart of Dalmatia, in the very center of Šibenik, this unique museum offers an educational and entertaining look at the indigenous Croatian breed that has achieved global popularity.

Housed in an old stone building that once served as a mill, this museum features a large courtyard because, in addition to exhibits and multimedia displays, it is home to two live Dalmatians—a sister and brother named Dalma and Tin. The interior of the Dalmatian House is divided into themed rooms. You are introduced to the world of black and white spots in the "History Room," which explains the origins and history of the Dalmatian. Here, you can see replicas of historical artworks featuring these dogs, as well as copies of documents confirming Dalmatia and Croatia as the breed's homeland. Other rooms are dedicated to the breed's characteristics and genetics, their historical roles, and their presence in pop culture. The most entertaining part of the exhibit, called "Feel the Dalmatian," is fun for all ages, as is the opportunity to solve puzzles and dive into a ball pit filled with black and white balls.

At the Dalmatian House, this dog is more than just a pet; it is a cultural ambassador for Dalmatia. This important piece of Dalmatian and Croatian heritage is finally being presented in a worthy manner and properly connected to its homeland. When planning your visit, we recommend checking the opening hours and ticket prices on the official Dalmatian House website. Guided tours start on the hour and last for one hour.
