Movie Night at Arsen
In the eighties, it was supposed to conquer America, but instead, it became the most famous automotive joke of all time. More than three decades later, the Yugo is getting a rematch. Writer Filip Grujić and cinematographer Aleksa Borković hop into the little pride of Zastava and set off from New York to Los Angeles, crossing 23 states and over 10,000 kilometers, hoping to make it at least once without having to push.
Along the way, they create a witty and unexpectedly touching documentary road movie. Breakdowns, encounters, unexpected fans, and archival footage from the Reagan era piece together the story of how a small socialist factory tried to conquer the biggest market in the world.
Tickets are priced at 4.20 euros for Friends of the House members (available only at the box office) and 6 euros for general admission, available online and at the Arsen House of Art box office.
