Winner of the Special Jury Prize at Venice
NAZA was the only documentary in the main competition at Venice, where its premiere was met with a 25-minute standing ovation—the longest in the festival's history—and the film went on to win the Special Jury Prize. It was subsequently screened at San Sebastián and the New York Film Festival. "As a piece of filmmaking, it is exemplary. As a piece of journalism, it is unimpeachable. As a document, it is an indictment," wrote Time Out.
