Why visit
an island with no permanent residents, featuring modern accommodation and amenities
Located near Zlarin, the island was once known as the island of snakes. After scouts transformed its inhospitable, scrub-covered landscape into a youth oasis during the 1970s, it became known as the Island of Youth.

For a long time, Obonjan remained a destination for scouts, but in recent years, the island's rugged charm and three harbors have turned it into a paradise for luxury camping enthusiasts—a resort ideal for both day trips and longer stays.

Obonjan Island Resort

Families with children, couples seeking romance, nature and adventure lovers, and those looking for recreation away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist season will all enjoy Obonjan.

Obonjan Island Resort

During the summer season, the resort's official boat, "Zvjezdica," sails to Obonjan three times a day from the port of Šibenik. The trip takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, passing through St. Anthony's Channel toward the open sea and the Šibenik archipelago. Since private vehicles are prohibited on Obonjan, guests leave their cars at a public parking lot in the Šibenik port. No prior boat reservation is required—simply arrive at the departure point ten minutes before sailing.
