The beach is a combination of paved concrete plateaus and pebbled sections, with the concrete areas perfect for sunbathing and the pebbled areas providing easy access to the sea. It is important to note that the beach is fully accessible to people with disabilities and those with limited mobility. It is equipped with public showers and clean restrooms. Although there is no dense natural shade, visitors can bring their own umbrellas. Južna Uvala is not just a place for swimming, but also a hub for summer events, including foam parties and the traditional Fisherman's Night, and it serves as the starting point for the Brodarica–Krapanj swimming marathon. A wide range of restaurants and cafes, as well as a children's playground, are located in the immediate vicinity.
A special reason to visit: This beach stands out for its accessibility for people with disabilities, its spectacular view of Krapanj, and its role as a center for summer events and entertainment.
