Krapanj Island

The ferry connection between Brodarica and Krapanj takes just a few minutes to cross the 400 meters separating the mainland from the island, where the tradition of sponge diving has lived on since the 17th century. The technique and knowledge were brought by Franciscan monks from the Greek island of Hydra, and Krapanj sponge divers have preserved it to this day. Sponges from Krapanj are sold in small island shops and are one of the most authentic souvenirs of the Šibenik region.

Rezalište Beach

Along with Krapanj, Brodarica has another major draw: Rezalište Beach. This pebble beach, surrounded by pine trees, clear water, and natural shade, is a local favorite among the people of Šibenik. A promenade runs alongside it, lined with cafes and restaurants serving fresh fish and seafood.

Brodarica is located 6 kilometers from Šibenik—close enough for an afternoon outing, yet peaceful enough that you won't be in a rush to leave.
