Guide to all city beaches

The Šibenik area offers a variety of beach types, ranging from urban city swimming spots to pebbly coves along the islands. The three beaches listed below are in the immediate vicinity of Šibenik and Brodarica, each with its own unique character and purpose.
Martinska

Martinska beach is located on the opposite side of the St. Anthony Channel, facing the historic city center and St. Michael's Fortress. Its natural coastline, pine forest, and open view of Šibenik give this area a quieter atmosphere compared to the city beaches. The shore consists of rocks, concrete platforms, and small pebbly sections, while walking paths and seaside lounging areas wind through the pine woods. In recent years, Martinska has also become known as a venue for summer music events, giving the former picnic area a new cultural role while preserving its natural setting.

Banj

Banj beach opened in 2012 on a former industrial site in the Crnica district of Šibenik, near the northwestern entrance to the historic center. Its location offers a direct view of the old town, all four Šibenik fortresses, and St. James's Cathedral. The beach features a children's playground, outdoor exercise equipment, cafes and bars, showers, and a seaside promenade. Not far from the coast lies the island of Zlarin, one of the Šibenik islands known for its clear coves and natural beaches, which is easily accessible by boat from the city.

Jadrija

Jadrija is one of the oldest organized swimming spots on the Šibenik Riviera, opened in 1922 in the immediate vicinity of the St. Andrew lighthouse. The beach is divided into two parts: the northern side, which is pebbly and rocky with concrete platforms for easy access to the sea, and the southern side, which is entirely concrete and features the famous colorful changing cabins that are protected as a cultural landmark. It is situated right along the Šibenik coastline.

Rezalište – Brodarica

Rezalište Beach is located in Brodarica, six kilometers from Šibenik. Surrounded by low-lying Mediterranean vegetation, its fine pebbles and gradual entry into the sea make it ideal for families with children. The beach features showers, a large parking area, and several dining options, with sun loungers and umbrellas available for rent. Brodarica also serves as the departure point for the ferry line to the island of Krapanj.
