It is no coincidence that the Mediterranean diet has become part of UNESCO's intangible heritage; it is based on simplicity and seasonal ingredients. Nature dictates what is at the market today—what was picked this morning is on the stall in front of you by noon.

The main Šibenik market is located on Ante Starčević Street, right next to the bus station and just a five-minute walk from the central Poljana square. It spans two levels and is open every day from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The stalls offer local fruit and vegetables, eggs, cheese, honey, olive oil, and cured meat products. The market also features butcher shops with locally sourced meat, as well as a fish market with freshly caught fish.
