Its uniqueness lies in the connection between the peninsula, which serves as the historic old town, and the more developed mainland, joined by a small bridge. The clustered houses and narrow streets give Tribunj a special charm, complemented by exceptional views of two islands in the Tribunj archipelago: Lukovnjak and Logorun.

In recent decades, the town has become known for tourism, yet it continues to nurture its two primary industries: fishing and olive growing, which have sustained the local population throughout history. Tribunj is also famous for its donkeys, which spend their retirement on a nearby island and are the stars of traditional summer festivals.

The hinterland of Tribunj is known for its well-maintained field paths and cycling trails that wind through typical Dalmatian vineyards and olive groves, leading up to several viewpoints on Križine hill.
