Within the park's borders lies Sinjal peak (1,831 m), the highest geographical point in the Republic of Croatia, a climb that is a must for any hiker. Dinara is a textbook example of deep Dinaric karst, characterized by monumental limestone cliffs, endless dry pastures, deep pits, and over 1,000 plant species, many of which are endemic. The park also hides fascinating hydrological phenomena, such as the source of the Cetina (Glavaš), a deep blue karst spring that looks like a mystical eye from the air.

Dinara Nature Park offers unlimited opportunities for active tourism, with a network of well-marked hiking trails, including sections of the Via Adriatica Trail. The expansive gravel roads are ideal for mountain biking and photo safaris, with the chance to spot wild horses and rare species of birds of prey. For centuries, the Dinara area has been a crossroads of cultures, with a rich cultural heritage that bears witness to the history of this region.
